This page provides useful information about the Sporthotel Wagrain and the surrounding area, including details of all the many benefits offered by the Salzburg Sportwelt Card available free of charge to guests staying at our hotel.

Booking & cancellation

As soon as your booking has been confirmed, we kindly ask you to transfer 20% of the total price to our bank account as a deposit. The rest will be charged at the end of your stay.

Please be aware that the prices indicated do not include the local tourism tax of €2.30 per person per night (applies to guests aged 15 years and older). This will be charged at the end of your stay.

Please note that we only accept room cancellations in written form. Cancellations or early departures are subject to the provisions of the Austrian Hotel Regulations.

In case of cancellation within 90 days before scheduled arrival, 40% of the total booking amount will be charged. For cancellations made within 30 days before scheduled arrival, 70% of the total booking amount will be charged. And for cancellations within 7 days before arrival, 90% of the total booking amount will be charged. Guests who do not cancel at all but fail to show up will be charged 100% of the total booking amount.

We recommend guests take out travel insurance when booking a stay with us. The firm Europäische Reiseversicherung has packages starting from €20 for 2 people staying 2 nights. Their Hotelstorno Plus and Premium packages also cover the costs if you test positive for Covid-19 during your stay.

Your room or suite will be available for you from 15:00.
On the day of departure we kindly ask you to leave your room by 10:00.

Guests who book their stay directly with us via our website receive a small gift. This can be selected when you make your online booking.

Almost all Covid-19 restrictions have now been removed. We maintain a strict cleaning and hygiene regime at the Sporthotel Wagrain to offer our guests an enjoyable holiday experience.

Dogs are welcome at our hotel. We charge €25 per dog per night. There is no charge for guide dogs or other assistance dogs.

Wireless internet is available free of charge throughout the hotel. Please speak to a member of staff at reception for the access code.

The Wagrain region

The local guestcard in Wagrain is known as the Salzburger Sportwelt Card and is available free of charge to all guests staying with us. Printed out or downloaded onto your smartphone, it gives free or discounted access to numerous attractions and activities not only in Wagrain-Kleinarl but also in the other villages in the Salzburger Sportwelt region: Flachau, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, St. Johann, Eben, Filzmoos and Radstadt.

It is just a few minutes on foot from our hotel to the centre of Wagrain, where you will find shops, a newsagent, a doctor, a pharmacy and a bank.

The Sporthotel Wagrain is just a few metres from the Grafenbergbahn cable car. It gives guests direct access to the pistes and lifts of the Ski Amadé network in winter as well as the hiking and biking trails on the Grafenberg mountain in summer.

The Sporthotel Wagrain is an excellent base for exploring the Snow Space Salzburg ski pistes in the winter months as well as the huge network of hiking and biking trails in summer. Further highlights in the region include the Jägersee lake in Kleinarl, the Liechtensteinklamm gorge, the Eisriesenwelt Werfen ice caves, the Burg Hohenwerfen fortress, the ancient salt mines in Hallein and the city of Salzburg.
